Dina Hegazi is a Berlin-based psychic medium. Before that: fifteen years as a Sorbonne-trained oil and gas lawyer, a conservative Muslim childhood in Cairo, a marriage that broke the rulebook. She lost everything, then started hearing clearly. Today she reads, teaches, and says the thing nobody else will.
Dina Hegazi grew up in a conservative Muslim family in Cairo. Desire, touch and feelings were forbidden. As a child she talked to the tree outside her window, and she felt answered.
She did everything right. She studied law, trained at the Sorbonne, and spent fifteen years negotiating oil and gas contracts worth more than most people see in a lifetime. She married young. Four months pregnant, she heard a voice: look at his phone. She looked. She stayed silent for three years. The divorce that followed broke the rulebook she had lived by. "I followed every rule and ended up in prison anyway."
What came next wasn't graceful. Unavailable men, plant medicine, sexual awakening, a career she could no longer stand. An Irish medium told her to leave law. Eventually she did. "Show me how to surrender," she prayed, "and I lost everything."
Today Dina is a working medium in Berlin and founder of The Surrender School, where she teaches evidence, discernment and surrender. Her line: the spirits will not pay your bills. She has been tested on camera by a skeptic, read for German celebrities on VOX, and taught in corporate offices. Islam was her first language for God. Today she speaks a few more.
Evidence over feelings. Discernment over manifestation. How to tell a real sign from wishful thinking, and why fantasy is vague and intuition is specific.
Sorbonne, oil and gas, a divorce that broke the rulebook, a God bigger than any one religion, and walking away from law. Surrender as the step before real change, not the same as giving up.
She talks to spirits. He does the taxes. Dina and her partner Austin Terrill, a Texan founder ten years sober, run two businesses and a patchwork family of three kids and a dog named Paul in Berlin. They're getting married at a Berlin club night in November.
A Middle Eastern oil and gas lawyer from a conservative Muslim family moves to Germany as a single mom, doesn't speak the language, and tears down every wall: psychedelics, techno, open relationships, the full Berlin reinvention. Then she finds out she still holds traditional values. So does Austin, the long-haired suburban nerd who never fit in Texas. Everybody arrives in Berlin with a pie-in-the-sky dream. The grass isn't greener.
Nothing is off the table.
The spirits will not pay your bills.
I tell you what your spirit guides are saying. Even the parts you don't want to hear.
Guidance doesn't ask for your opinion. It asks for your obedience.
Fantasy is vague. Intuition is specific.
You understand guidance backwards. The clarity comes after you act.
He still has the same character. He's not different just because he died.
Collapse is a favour.
If I get emotional, I can't hear him. The Wi-Fi closes.

Austin grew up in Texas, the long-haired suburban kid who didn't care about football, and has lived in Berlin for thirteen years. He's Dina's manager and business partner. In 2006 he founded Print Peppermint, a specialty print studio doing foil, letterpress and cotton paper, shipping to more than 30 countries. He is ten years sober, works the 12 steps, has done three years of family constellation work, and has a psychedelic past he talks about openly. Rational by temperament. He believes in reincarnation, has read the entire Law of One, and still argues with his wife's spirit guides. He runs the businesses, does the money and packs the kids' lunches. She's his muse.
